15 Week Program

Become an Openwater Diver, Divemaster Diver and a Commercial Diver all in one program:

Best of both worlds: Recreational and Commercial

DVG 0200 Divemaster CourseThis DIVESAFE program is designed to train non-divers to become qualified divers and employable in both the recreational and commercial fields. With the dual certifications as a Divemaster and Commercial diver, the graduate is more employable especially if the diver wishes to travel internationally and find work overseas. The Divemaster certification allows the graduate to work as a Divemaster in a divestore or dive resort setting. Being a PADI certification, their qualifications are recognized any where in the world. As for the commercial certifications, the graduate will have been taught to the internationally recognized CSA Standards and, upon graduation, can apply for DCBC (Diver Certification Board of Canada) certification in the commercial courses certified in. The DCBC certification is a commercial certification that is recognized internationally.

Key Information:

  • Course Length: 15 weeks
  • Course Hours: 8:30–5:30, Mon–Fri. (some evening & weekend work required)

This portion of the course will give students the certification to the CSA standards for an Inshore Surface Supply Diver. This certification allows the diver to conduct commercial diving operations using surface supplied diving equipment to a maximum depth of 30 meters (100 feet). The scope of operations allowed under this level are aquaculture diving, seafood harvesting, engineering and biological inspections, archaeological investigation, search and recovery, police operations, vessel maintenance, underwater film/video production and light commercial work.
