As of 5:52 p.m. ET Sunday (7:52 a.m. Monday, local time), James Cameron has arrived at the deepest part of the ocean members of the National Geographic expedition have confirmed. His depth on the bottom of the Mariana Trench is 35,756 feet. It's pretty cool that we can still find places to explore on earth that until now have remained relatively unknown.
